Event Description
Parent Seminar: Understanding Anxiety

Anxiety has become very common amongst our children and can be extremely confusing for parents to know what to do - in fact we can become very anxious in trying to find something that is going to help.

In this seminar we will look at:

  • what might be happening for the child

  • possible causes

  • what parents can do to make a difference for their child

This seminar is aimed at parents/caregivers, but also applicable to teachers, social workers, youthworkers, and other professionals working with children.  No childcare is available. If the ticket cost is an obstacle for you attending the seminar, or you have any other queries, please email: [email protected]

Seminar Presenter: Sandy Hitchens

This is the first of 3 seminars to be presented by Sandy Hitchens from Doors of Hope Counselling over three consecutive Monday evenings.

Sandy has been counselling children and their parents for over 10 years. She is currently counselling in three local Christchurch primary schools as well as working in private practice.
