Bless Up presents ISRAEL STARR single release tour featuring Chad Chambers

2015/16 has seen Israel Starr’s music career rocket to levels of borderline mass appeal where he now sits on the tipping point of being a prominent figure in the NZ music scene. His last single “Long white Cloud” made its debut at number 1 and his recent EP “Through the Ages and Forever” made its debut at number 2 on the iTunes charts. His feature with Sonz Of Zion “Stuck On Stupid” was also the biggest reggae hit of last summer. Israel Starr featured in the September 2015 issue of NZ Musician Magazine and has received rave reviews particularly on the track “Do For Love” with respected music journalist Martyn Pepperell describing the track as ‘the strongest local reggae record to be released in several years’. Israel also runs and owns an indie record label ‘BlessUp Music’ that has had great success in its short life span. BlessUp Music boasts fifteen single releases in twelve months, two number 1 hits and 5 top ten singles. 

Israel also put together the “BlessUp Music Compilation Volume One” album of which he produced 10 tracks, under his label BlessUp Music. This included 20 tracks from all the artists signed to BlessUp Music and a few other internationals that Israel has close relationships with. The compilation debuted at number 1 on iTunes Reggae Charts and 12 on the New Zealand album charts.

2015/16 has also seen him share the stage with New Zealand’s absolute best and greatest musical legends. Blessed to have joined Che Fu on a NZ North Island tour, open for Ardijah on two sold out shows in October 2015 and open for Katchafire on another two sold out shows in September 2015. This proves Israel Starr’s musical diversity opening for the greatest Hip Hop, Rnb, Funk & Reggae groups NZ has to offer. Israel Starr has also booked a handful of large summer festivals.
